The work hypothesis of our study has been grounded on the presumption that the definition of the levels of teaching methods and practice skills in athletics for the third year students at the N S A Teachers Faculty will provide objective criteria for control and final assessment of their teaching methods practice. The analysis on the research has also been based on our long personal teaching experience concerning
the needs of foreign educational systems.
The aim of the present study has been to outline the classification structures of the levels of teaching methods and practice skills in athletics.
The subjects of the study has been the areas of teaching influence and the quantity criteria for defining the levels of teaching methods and practice skills in athletics.
The object of study were:
- Theoretical indices for defining the areas of teaching influence and quantity criteria for their definition;
- Practical indices measured in pedagogical observation on 122 students at the N S A Teachers Faculty involved in the athletics teaching process in their third year of studies.
The analysis carried out has enabled us to formulate the following conclusions:
CONCLUSIONS:
1. Four areas of pedagogical influence have been systematized and defined in teaching athletics;
2. Precisely measurable criteria for each pedagogical area have been defined;
3. The horizontal and vertical architectonics of the structural levels of teaching for each area have been outlined;
4. The classification structure of the teaching methods and practice skills in athletics has been specified;
5. A norm chart has been developed for criterion assessment of the 16-grade scale type.
