| Keywords: candidate student norm, 800 m sprint The aim of the study is to optimize the norm base for evaluation of the abilities of candidate-students in 800m running, so it is adequate to the level of those for whom it is meant. Object of the study are 410 candidate-students for PE in NSA, 291 of which are male an 119 female. The comparative analysis between the results in 800m running for men and women, candidate-students for PE in NSA shows, that the relative part of the women unable to complete the distance in time is almost 3 times higher than that of the men, which is an evidence for that the established requirements are more difficult for the women than for the man. On the other side the evaluation of the results for the men and for the women by the means of the IAAF comparative table shows, that the results of the men fall back in meaning in all of the characterizing indexes . for maximal, minimal and medium value. The distribution of the results of the candidate-student examination and the achieved marks also shows that the criteria for evaluation do not correspond to the abilities of those for whom they were meant. In order to avoid the shown inadequacy the authors offer new norm base for evaluation the achievement in 800m running during the candidate-student examination for PE in NSA, which is established on the basis of the real abilities of the candidate-students and corresponds to the requirements, to which it was meant.. |
