Keywords: track and field athletics, elementaru school teaching The introduction of new curriculum of physical education and sport in an elementary school will demand a great deal of track-and-field athletics teaching. There is a tendency to complex development of abilities, stimulating the motive activity, extend the information about performing track-and-field athletics exercises In present research, problems, connected with the development and application of effective methods and means of teaching in the track-and-field athletics lesson for fourth class are solved. The impact on enrichment knowledge, technical and sport mastery, physical condition and co-ordination, mentally efficiency of 10­years old boys and girls. Established results demonstrate the necessity of intensification of track-and-field athletics teaching process accordingly modern requirements.
