The precision of measuring training segments is of great importance about the career in athletics and especially the sprint. That is why our goal was the determination of the differences between the two methods of measuring times. 9 trainings were carried out with a different length of the segments from 40 do 150 meters. All segments were measured at the same time manually and photo-electronically by the photo-electronic Stiming System. Commonly 134 measured segments were carried out and it.s over them that the analysis was held. We specified that increasing the length of segments, the measured attainments photo-electronically and manually as well, relatively decrease the difference between them. By this fact, we considered that while measuring shorter segments it.s obligatory that photo-electronic equipment is used
